MEASUREMENT
We can implement applications that can control and verify all the steps that make up the productive process. We provide, for example, the possibility to verify that the worker or the robot is in the desired position, precisely locate the object to be worked on, ensure that the right tool for the current step is the one actually being used, determine the right action according to the observed system state and check for the presence of errors.
INSPECTION
In addition to material analysis it’s also possible to perform various checks on products. For example dimensional and positional recognition, presence/absence detection, shaping and pattern-matching. Our systems can work in-line with the purpose to detect each one of these problems and generate a reject signal that can be acquired by the discard system or sent to an audible alarm or a flashing rod. We can guarantee successful inspections with high speeds and various kinds of materials: paper, fabric, plastic and metal sheets. If required, we can deliver systems that are able to perform quality checks and validations in real-time.
COMPARISON
Our systems are able to read mono-dimensional (1D) and bi-dimensional (2D) codes. The first group is made of linear barcodes used to encode information through spaces and vertical lines. They are mainly used to represent short strings (e.g. the identification number for an item that can be found in a supermarket, or the part number for a replacement part). Bi-dimensional codes can be divided in multi-line codes and matrices, representing information through blocks placed inside a predefined grid. This second group of codes is able to represent longer strings (like web and postal addresses but also identification data printed on badges or boarding passes). It’s also possible to perform optical character recognition (OCR) on dot-matrix-printed alphanumeric strings.
